MCS (https://mcs.mn/en/ - (“MCS” or the “Company”), is one of the largest diversified business groups in Mongolia operating in (i) packaging and distribution of Coca-Cola products; (ii) distribution of fast-moving consumer goods, including Procter and Gamble products and from international brands such as Nestle and Pringles; (iii) mobile telecommunications; (iv) civil engineering; (v) healthcare, (vi) information technologies, and (vii) real estate  development. MCS is IFC’s long term strategic client in good standing. IFC’s ongoing environmental and social (E&S) supervision of the existing investments in the Company indicates the Company’s compliance with IFC’s E&S requirements and the associated overall performance are satisfactory. IFC is considering a loan of up to US$130m to MCS, to support the Company during the COVID-19 crisis (the “Project”). IFC financing will support the Company’s existing operations of the following subsidiaries: -          Healthcare: Liquidity support for Intermed Hospital - a 90-bed private hospital in Ulaanbaatar co-financed by IFC.-          Construction and Property: Liquidity support for MCS Property – an entity specialized in construction management, property development and property management including residential, commercial and industrial developments.-          ICT: Debt financing, maintenance capex and software development for Unitel – a leading provider of mobile and internet communication network services.-          FMCG: Maintenance capex for MCS Coca Cola – the official franchise of the Coca Cola Company manufacturing and retailing of bottled water, juice and soft drinks.
