Description | Medical Developers, LLC (“MDL” or the “Company”) ”) a regional provider of radiation therapy services, is seeking to expand its operations in Latin America through continued investments in existing centers, expansion via new centers, establishment of joint ventures, and acquisition of existing operations for an estimated cost of $12.1 million (the “Project”). MDL is a fully owned subsidiary of U.S.-based Radiation Therapy Services Holdings, Inc. (“RTS” or “the Sponsor”.) RTS, whose headquarters is located in Fort Myers, Florida, is a physician-led company operating in 16 U.S. states and 7 countries, with a network of nearly 300 locations, including approximately 130 radiation therapy facilities. MDL currently operates 31 free standing and hospital-based centers in six countries (Argentina, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico) with plans to further expand within these countries, as well as to new geographies including Bolivia and Brazil. IFC proposes to provide a senior loan of up to US$5 million (or local currency equivalent) to support this initial phase of expansion in Mexico and Dominican Republic. |
