MDL and implementation of the NACE Rev. 2.1 in SBR

In this project, Statistics Finland will combine activities from Work Area 3 “Implementation of the NACE Rev.2.1 in the Business Registers” and Work Area 5 “Capacity building in the field of Micro Data Linking (MDL); MDL based on statistical business registers and Structural Business Statistics” of the action. The European statistical business registers have to continuously upgrade their quality, to be able to provide up-to-date information, with reliable and accurate data on statistical units, variables and their classifications. Within Work Area 3 (WP1), Statistics Finland aims at implementing the new version of the classification of economic activities (NACE Rev. 2.1) in the statistical business register. Implementation of the new NACE is an essential prerequisite of following agreed standards and securing comparability across Member States and at international level.
