The upgrade involved deploying the Type SB2 USP heavy-duty dual cartridge mechanical seal with Upstream Pumping seal face technology, extending seal life from weeks to over a year and sharply reducing water demand. A seal reservoir and a 5-micron filtration system were also installed. |
