Mechazilla Tower Construction at Cape Canaveral

SpaceX is constructing the massive Mechazilla tower at Launch Complex 37A in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The tower is designed to launch the Starship rocket and catch its returning components in mid-air. The construction involves installing nine modules, with the seventh module already installed and the eighth planned for lifting soon. The project uses the world's most powerful crawler crane, the German-made Liebherr LR 13000, capable of lifting loads up to 3000 tons. The tower will feature mechanical arms known as "chopsticks" to catch the Super Heavy booster vertically, enhancing rocket reusability. This launch site will be the main gateway for commercial and scientific Starship flights, including missions to the Moon and Mars.
