Description

Description

“MEDIA4COHESION” is an information measure to produce and disseminate information on the overall EU Cohesion policy in both Belgium and Italy, with special attention to the new instruments of 2021–27 programming and the synergies between regional funds and the National Recovery Plan. The action aims to address major awareness gaps among Belgians and Italians concerning Cohesion and related issues: a general, significant lack of recognition of policy benefits; Dramatically low levels of understanding and appreciation of the policy among young generations. The Consortium of “MEDIA4COHESION” proposes a multilevel and multi-targeted information measure with a special focus on the impact and results of Cohesion policy. The action leverages diverse layers of communication to inform, raise awareness, and encourage participation by stakeholders, media professionals, and citizens—especially young ones. The information measure includes: A dedicated two-tiered newsfeed delivered to local and national media and directly to citizens;Online and in-person events with stakeholders’ participation and field experts; Multimedia news coverage and successful stories on how EU Cohesion funds were used in Belgium and Italy; A specific activity targeting 2–3 high schools completes the action framework.
