Media TV & Online - Piggy Builders

ongoing

"For this 2024 CREA TV & ONLINE call for proposals, Xilam Animation is submitting its new original animated TV series entitled Piggy Builders (""Cochons Construction"" in French), composed of 52 episodes of approximately 11 minutes each. While its editorial DNA is deeply rooted in slapstick comedy with the historical brands Oggy and the Cockroaches (8 seasons) and Zig and Sharko (3 seasons – soon 4!), Xilam Animation has produced, over the last few years, several original animated series dedicated to a preschool audience, i.e. children between 3 to 6 years old, such as the series Lupin’s Tales (2 seasons), and Oggy Oggy (2 seasons) that is a preschool spin-of based on one of Xilam’s iconic license. In furtherance of this line of development, Xilam Animation wanted to create a brand-new series for our little ones, to entertain them as well as enlighten them with strong universal values. In response to one of Xilam’s “calls to tender” for new concepts, the author Marie Manand proposed this very original universe, set in the cute neighbourhood of Fine Forest, which revisits, in a modern way and with plenty of fantasy, the tale of the 3 little pigs that we all know, and highlights the importance of living well together with our differences. This is how the Piggy Builders series was born. This edutainment project produced by Xilam Animation has already succeeded in convincing 3 major European public broadcasters: France Télévisions for France, the BBC for the United Kingdom, and ZDF for German-speaking Europe - each of whom will add their brick to the Piggy Builders world and therefore contribute to its worldwide glow!
