In order to consolidate an institutionalized, high-caliber, alternative dispute resolution system enabling private businesses to settle commercial disputes more efficiently, this program funds: (a)establishment of a National Network of Commercial Mediation and Arbitration Centers; (b) institutional strengthening of Network centers around the country; (c) training of neutral third parties (arbitratorsand mediators) to work in the Network; and (d) strategic publicity on the merits of institutionalized mediation and arbitration, and market penetration initiatives. The program will also move toward thecreation of regional dispute resolution mechanisms, particularly within the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR).
