Description
Description | The Medicine Hat Trail Rehabilitation and Pedestrian/Cycling Trail Development Project (the Project) includes rehabilitation and new installation of 3m-wide multi-use asphalt trails within parks, outdoor recreational areas, and along major transportation corridors. The new trails will provide a vital link for active transportation users including pedestrians, cyclists, and people with limited mobility from the far south and east portions of Medicine Hat to the City’s Strathcona Park trail network. Existing trail rehab will enhance inclusiveness, accessibility, and active transportation at key destinations/high use areas. They will help address a growing need to provide safe alternative transportation infrastructure. The areas included are Carry Drive SE (3.2 km trail), Strachan Road SE (1.6 km), Sunset Park trail (100 m trail rehab), Vintage Park trail (120 m trail rehab), Flannigan Park trail (150m rehab), FS Scott Park trail (150m rehab), Dan McCharles Park trail (200m trail rehab), Police Point Park trail (400m trail rehab), and East Glen trail (1500m trail network rehab). |
