MEDinEUROPE is a strategic project funded under the Erasmus+ Programme, aimed at promoting intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, and active citizenship among young people from Europe and the Southern Mediterranean region (aged 13-18), through the use of innovative educational methodologies based on digital storytelling and gamification. The project pursues the following specific objectives: 1) Strengthen the skills of youth workers in using digital storytelling and gamification to prevent xenophobic bullying and to promote intercultural dialogue among young people. 2) Prevent xenophobic cyberbullying among adolescents by fostering empathy, cooperation, and responsible use of digital communication tools. 3) Enhance cultural diversity through participatory storytelling, encouraging young people to reflect on identity, coexistence, and inclusion. 4) Mobilize young people as active agents of positive change, through social media campaigns and the co-creation of a Euro-Mediterranean Youth Manifesto against hate and exclusion. The main output of the project are: -Online training paths and exchange forums for youth workers; -Euro-Mediterranean virtual exchanges using non-formal learning approaches; -Creation of an interactive Story Game and a Digital Storytelling Media Library; -Development and dissemination of a Euro-Mediterranean Youth Manifesto. The project’s digital platform, open and accessible, will ensure the sustainability of the results beyond the project's end. MEDinEUROPE directly contributes to the Erasmus+ priorities on inclusion and diversity, youth participation, and digital transformation, fostering a concrete and long-lasting impact at both local and international levels. The project is implemented by a transnational consortium comprising organizations from Italy, Spain, Morocco, Tunisia, and Jordan.
