This project consists of construction of the Meerut - Budaun section of Ganga expressway with total length of 129.7 km. The project company is Meerut Budaun Expressway Limited, which won the Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) concession for of up to 30 years (further extendable by 6 years) commencing from the financial close date and including the construction period of 3 years. Sponsor of the project is IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited. Total investment stands at $837.88 million, of which $340.77 million is secured from a consortium of lenders, $273.36 million comes from the sponsor and the remaining $223.76 million is viable gap funding (VGF). The SPV has executed Concession Agreement with Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) in January 2022.
