Mega Textile Park under PM MITRA project

The state government of Karnataka has decided to complete the ambitious Mega Textile Park under the PM MITRA project in Kalaburagi. The Department of Handlooms and Textiles is revising the detailed project report (DPR) including external infrastructure works, to be submitted to the Project Approval Committee of the Government of India. The project will be developed in phases, with the first phase initiated by KIADB, followed by the second phase based on job creation and investment volume. The Central Government will provide up to Rs 500 crore under the Development Capital Support scheme for internal infrastructure development including roads, water, electricity, wastewater treatment plant (CETP), and hostel facilities. The state implementing agency will provide a minimum of Rs 25 crore as the first instalment for physical infrastructure development.
