Description

The project involves the investment, construction and operation of the phase I of Meizhou Wuhua Waste-to-energy plant, located in Wuhua, Guangdong Province, China. The project will be constructed in 2 phases with a total designed daily waste processing capacity of 1,050 tonnes. Phase I has a designed daily waste processing capacity of 700 tonnes (255,500 tonnes per year) and will have 2 x 350 tonnes/day grate furnaces and 1 x 18MW turbine power generator. The project will be constructed on a PPP basis for a concession period of 30 years, which includes the construction period. The sponsor is China Everbright International Ltd. The phase I project cost is CNY 468 million ($ 66.53 million). Financial close was reached on 7 August 2019.
