Memramcook Recreation Centre

The aim of the project is to build a sustainable recreation centre in our rural minority language community. The centre will be a modern, inclusive space designed to meet the needs of vulnerable groups such as at-risk youth, newcomers, seniors, people with disabilities and low-income families. It will incorporate green building features and environmentally friendly technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve energy efficiency in order to invest the savings in affordable and accessible programming. The aim is to create a multifunctional venue that will promote social inclusion. The centre will fill a glaring gap in the Memramcook region. The centre will offer programmes that are accessible to all, strengthening community cohesion and the sense of belonging. This project will also support the local economy by creating jobs.
