Meridian Highway PPP project

The project includes development of 721 km long highway passing through eight regions in Russia. The highway will connect major cities of Russia and will pass through Krasnaya Gorka checkpoint in the Smolensk Region on the border with Belarus to the Mashtakovo and Sagarchin checkpoints in the Orenburg Region. The scope of works also involves development of approximately 770 structures along the carraigeway.The highway is part of Europe–Western China international transport corridor and Meridian highway cover sections from 1,300 and 2,021 km of the corridor. Meridian highway is expected to handle from 6.1 to 11.5 million tonnes of freight per year, of which transit freight will account for approximately 11%.
