Merritt - West Merritt Active Transportation Path

This project will significantly enhance the active transportation network and recreational infrastructure in the City of Merritt. This multipurpose pathway will allow students from two local schools a safer and more active way to go to school and support the City’s desire to expand its active transportation network. The project works will include: - Replacement of an existing 0.2km pathway with a wider multi-use asphalt pathway; - Approximately 1.2km of a new multi-use pathway; - 0.1km of a new on-street bikeway; - Installation of an outdoor exercise equipment; - Installation of solar pathway lighting; - Installation of a Portland Loo style washroom; and - Related works.
