Merritt Parkway Exit Number Update Project

The project involves updating the exit numbers along the Merritt Parkway to a mile-based system from the New York state line to the Wilbur Cross Parkway. This change aims to provide uniformity with other states, help drivers quickly determine distances to destinations, improve reporting of highway incidents for better emergency navigation, and facilitate the addition of future exits without renumbering the entire corridor. Temporary signs noting old and new exit numbers will be installed to assist drivers in adjusting to the new system.
