Description | The proposed investment is an IFC A loan to Mersin Water & Sewage Administration ( MESKI), backstopped by a guarantee from Metropolitan Municipality of Mersin (MMM or City). IFC's financing will support 10 subprojects including the: (i) expansion and technology upgrade of 4 existing wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs); (ii) construction of 2 new WWTPs; and (iii) installation of 4 deep-sea discharge pipelines (collectively the Project). The Project willadd 30% (46 million cubic meters per annum) to the existing WWTP capacity in the City. |
