The project includes a 220-megawatt data center campus and is expected to come online in 2027. The Public Service Commission approved a modified private contract agreement between Alliant Energy and Meta to power the data center, with provisions to protect existing customers from project-related energy costs. The contract includes a 10-year minimum service agreement with options for extension and requires Alliant to create a standard electric rate for all large data center customers using at least 100 megawatts of power. |
