Meta Beaver Dam Hyperscale Data Center

Meta is constructing a hyperscale data center campus in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, expected to use six to eight times more power than the city's current energy load. The project involves a contract approved by the Wisconsin Public Service Commission for Meta to obtain power from Alliant Energy. The data center is expected to use 220 megawatts of energy and cost more than $1 billion. The PSC mandated that Alliant develop a standardized tariff for large data center customers to ensure transparency and prevent subsidization by other utility customers.
