Meta Data Center Power Plant Complex

Entergy Louisiana plans to install three natural-gas fueled power plants to supply electricity for Meta's massive data center in Northeast Louisiana. The project includes two turbines near the data center in Richland Parish and a third turbine at the Waterford nuclear power plant site in St. Charles Parish. The turbines will have a combined capacity of 2,200 megawatts, increasing Entergy's statewide generation capacity by roughly 20%. Meta is covering 100% of the cost of the turbines and the contract is for 15 years. The project also includes a solar power installation with 1,500 MW capacity.
