The Richland Parish campus will become Meta's largest data center worldwide after adding a new 5-gigawatt expansion, pushing the project's value above $50 billion. The total commitment to the site could eventually exceed $250 billion as the company continues building capacity for AI workloads. Construction has generated more than $1.6 billion in contracts for Louisiana businesses since late 2024. The project includes an agreement with Entergy to develop new power generation, battery storage, and grid upgrades to support the campus. |
