Description | Meta is expanding its Richland Parish data center to 5 gigawatts of compute capacity, making it one of the largest data centers in history. The expansion includes over $1 billion invested in local infrastructure improvements such as roads, water, and wastewater systems. The project is expected to support approximately 7,500 construction jobs and 1,000 operational roles. Additionally, Meta is providing a $5 million grant to Louisiana Delta Community College to train local data center workers. A smart energy agreement with Entergy Louisiana is projected to save grid customers more than $2 billion over 20 years. |
