Description | Entergy proposes to build three new natural gas-fired electricity plants and a new substation to power Meta's $10 billion AI data center in Richland Parish, Louisiana. The data center is under construction and expected to have around 2GW of server capacity, with plans to scale up to 5GW. Meta is paying for the full annual revenue of the gas plants for 15 years, but not for fuel costs or a new $550 million transmission line. The project aims to support 300-500 permanent jobs and 5,000 construction workers at peak. |
