Description | Meta Platforms will build a US$1bn data centre project in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, entirely powered by renewables. The AI-optimised data centre campus will be Meta’s 30th and will be built at energy utility Alliant Energy's large industrial development site Beaver Dam Commerce Park. Meta will allocate US$200m to Alliant’s system for infrastructure investments, network upgrades, substations, and transmission lines. The data centre will cover over 700,000 square feet and is expected to be online in 2027. |
