Meta's Hyperion AI Campus Power Infrastructure Expansion

under construction

Meta's Hyperion AI campus in Richland Parish, Louisiana, is undergoing a significant power infrastructure expansion. The project involves Meta funding ten gas-fired power plants, including seven newly announced units on top of three already approved, totaling more than 7 gigawatts of capacity. This expansion has caused Entergy Louisiana to raise its four-year capital plan by $14 billion to support the power demands of the AI campus, including transmission upgrades and renewable and battery capacity integration.
