Meta's Kuna Data Center is part of Meta's global infrastructure that supports technologies empowering over 3 billion people worldwide to share ideas, offer support, and make a difference. The data center investment in Idaho is over $800 million, with operational jobs supported once completed estimated to be around 100 skilled trade workers on-site at peak construction. Meta aims to be water positive by 2030, restoring more water than it consumes. The Kuna Data Center will add 200MW of new renewable energy in Idaho and prioritize sustainability by using cooling technology that is significantly more water-efficient than the industry standard, landscaping with native and drought-resistant vegetation, capturing and infiltrating rainwater on-site, incorporating water-saving fixtures and technologies, and reusing treated wastewater for non-edible crop irrigation.
