Description	Meta is investing US$50 billion in a large AI data centre campus in Richland Parish, Louisiana. The campus is planned to reach 5GW of compute capacity, making it one of the world's largest AI data centre developments. Construction began in December 2024, with over US$1.6 billion in contracts awarded to local businesses. The project will create over 1,000 permanent jobs and up to 7,500 construction jobs at peak activity. Meta is also investing more than US$1 billion in local infrastructure improvements including roads, water, and wastewater systems to support the campus and community.
