Metlen's 530 MW Australian Solar Projects Refinancing

Greek industrial and energy group Metlen Energy & Metals has completed the refinancing of all its operating and under-construction solar projects in Australia, with a combined capacity exceeding 530 MW. The portfolio includes operational solar farms in New South Wales and Queensland, and a project nearing completion near Gympie in southwest Queensland. The financing package includes an AUD 269 million operating term facility, an AUD 158 million construction facility for Munna Creek, and AUD 33 million in ancillary facilities. Once Munna Creek is operational, the portfolio will produce close to 1 TWh annually, offsetting about 650,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. Power and LGCs are sold under 10-year PPAs to various offtakers.
