Description
Description | The main aim of the project is to fulfil commitment of EU member states for rail transport operation and interoperability with ERTMS system and ETCS standards on the TEN-T network (Directive 2016/797, COMMISSION REGULATION (EU) 2016/919 and national implementation strategies - e.g. Strategy for modern and security railways in Czech Republic, Ministry of Transportation 2021). The project also helps contributing to the goals of European Green Deal by shifting freight towards low-emission rail transport. The main goal of the project is to deliver the following project outputs: (a) retrofitting and type authorization of one international prototype vehicle on which an on-board ETCS unit was deployed; (b) delivery of 20 new vehicles fitted with on-board ETCS units. - Total number of vehicles (on-board units): 21 - Total number of Units of different types of Unit Contributions: (i) International Prototype Retrofit, ERTMS Level 2, Baseline 3: 1 (one) Unit, (ii.) Fitment, ERTMS Level 2, Baseline 3: 20 (twenty) Units |
