Metro Vancouver Regional District - Grouse Mountain Regional Park - Trail and Amenity Improvements

The project will increase access to community and recreation by upgrading three well-used trails. The trail upgrades will improve access, experience and safety; new trail connections to improve park accessibility for families and novice hikers; an expanded main trailhead for public gathering, programs and events and three new secondary trailheads to improve the park visitor experience; interpretive and way finding signs, kiosks, viewpoints and other amenities. The project works will include: - Expand and improve plaza area on main trailhead - Construct three secondary trailheads and a basic storage facility - Construct three rest/viewpoints on Grouse Grind Trail - Reconstruct and realign approximately 2900m of trail on BCMC Trail - New Trail Construction (Trails A, B, C) totalling approximately 750 m - signages and trail amenities; and - other related works.
