Description | Metropolitan Park is a transformative project around Citi Field in Queens, New York, aiming to convert 50 acres of barren asphalt parkland into a vibrant entertainment and sports district. The project includes over 25 acres of greenspace with public parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, a luxury bar and lounge, hotel, retail corridor, sportsbook, a community food hall called The Taste of Queens, a 5,650 capacity theatre-style venue, a revamped subway station, and a large casino complex. It is expected to create over 23,000 union jobs, empower minority and women-owned businesses, and generate significant tax revenue. |
