The MFR des Baronnies is a specialized training center in the field of hotel, catering and sales professions for young people aged 16 to 20. The sixty work-study apprentices make it an establishment on a human scale. Located in a rural area and far from major communication roads and urban centers, most of our young learners have never left the region. The Erasmus+ Jean Monnet project would be an incredible opportunity that would allow them to discover the European Union, its values and its institutions through two key experiences. The first promotion (CAP sales / BP Catering), after having carried out various activities, will discover a cross-border territory shared between Spain and France: the Basque Country. The second promotion (CAP / BP Catering) after immersing themselves through activities, will discover the history of Europe as well as the functioning of its European institutions while traveling from Brussels to Amsterdam, cities representing the construction of European Union. The enthusiasm of the teaching staff to be able to innovate in transversal and interdisciplinary educational practices will be able to support our young people in the discovery of a common history and culture. The Jean Monnet project will make it possible to integrate the MFR des Baronnies, coming from a rural territory and borderlands, into a cross-border and European influence.
