MGL-India Post Domestic Gas Meter Reading Partnership

planned

Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) has partnered with the Department of Posts (India Post), Maharashtra Circle, to conduct door-to-door domestic gas meter readings across Mumbai. The service will start with a pilot project in South Mumbai and will be expanded in phases to other parts of the city. India Post officials will use a dedicated mobile application to capture meter readings and photographs, which will be sent directly to MGL's systems via an API for accuracy and digital tracking. The program emphasizes the involvement of women postal staff to increase customer comfort during visits.
