MHS Women and Children’s Hospital

Memorial Health System is constructing a Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Belpre, Ohio. The hospital will offer a full spectrum of women’s health services including obstetrics, gynecology, a modern labor and delivery unit, and a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), which will be the only one available in the region. The project also includes a medical office building in partnership with Akron Children’s Hospital to expand pediatric specialty care. Recent milestones include completion of an underground water retention system and ongoing site work. Foundation structures are planned for spring, with steel erection scheduled for fall. The project is supported by $30 million in state and federal grant funding and followed a USDA financing process.
