MIC- Grant to Map HIV/Aids Interventions

The present project is relative to the Development of Geographical Information System (GIS) to map HIV/AIDS interventions. It aims to help control the HIV/AIDS pandemic through the development of a GIS to improve analysis, and subsequent decisions, aimed at enhancing HIV/AIDS interventions. The project consists of the following: (i) assembling and designing a GIS including: (a) recruitment of a consulting firm; (b) acquisition and installation of information technology equipment; (c) software acquisition and installation; (d) systems and database design; (e) data collection and collation; (f) customization and design of a user interface; and (g) development of a GIS Strategy; (ii) training of National Emergency Response Committee on HIV/AIDS (NERCHA) staff on the use and continuous management of the acquired GIS hardware and software.
