Description | Michu is a digital, uncollateralised lending platform developed by Cooperative Bank of Oromia using blended finance. It uses data for credit scoring, provides instant access to finance, and targets MSMEs and underserved customers across various sectors including trade, services, manufacturing, construction, and agriculture. The platform has disbursed over ETB 52 billion (USD 400 million) to nearly 3 million customers, achieving significant youth and women inclusion and creating approximately 2.7 million jobs. |
