IFC is partnering with GoTo, to jointly explore the opportunity to explore the viability and design of a digital micro savings and pension platform for gig workers in Indonesia. The objective is to offer an affordable, easy to use holistic digital savings and pension scheme for gig workers that is secure and provides complete transparency to the workers and beneficiaries. Therefore, the development of a digital micro savings and pension platform, which could offer a combination of short-term savings, long term savings product (i.e. pension), together with health/life insurance, targeting these vulnerable groups would be explored, combined with a financial literacy program to educate on the benefits of savings for old age.
