Micron Technology Chipmaking Complex First Phase

The first phase of the Micron Technology chipmaking complex involves clearing and leveling nearly 700 acres of the 1,400-acre campus in Clay, New York. Gilbane Co. has been hired to perform site preparation work including cutting down trees, importing crushed stone, erecting fences and retaining walls, installing temporary utilities, setting up construction trailers, and building concrete plants. The project could cost up to $100 billion over 20 years and aims to build up to four massive computer chip factories.
