Microsoft Cheyenne Data Center Expansion

planned

Microsoft plans to roughly triple its data center footprint in Cheyenne by acquiring 3,200 acres of land southeast of downtown Cheyenne, including 3,000 acres of raw land and a 200-acre parcel in the Bison Business Park. The expansion is expected to create hundreds of full-time jobs and thousands of construction positions, with significant investments in off-site infrastructure projects such as road and storm sewer improvements, trail greenways, and upgraded municipal water pump systems. The project will not use local property tax incentives and aims to benefit the community through tax revenue and improved infrastructure.
