Microsoft Takeover of Stargate Data Center in Narvik

Microsoft has agreed to rent 30,000 Nvidia Vera Rubin chips at a data center in Narvik, Norway, originally branded as part of OpenAI's Stargate initiative. This is the second Stargate site Microsoft has taken over in three weeks, following a similar acquisition in Texas. The deal was made with neocloud provider Nscale, which operates data centers across Norway, West London, and Finland. OpenAI has reduced its infrastructure spending commitments and is retreating from some Stargate sites, with Microsoft and Google absorbing the capacity.
