Description | Invenergy UK has submitted a planning application with Scottish regulators for a 93.6-MW wind farm project in the Scottish Borders. The project will comprise 13 turbines with a blade tip height of up to 200 metres and a capacity of around 7.2 MW each. It will include a long-duration energy storage system of 420 MWh with a peak power delivery of 53.2 MW to support operations. Construction is expected to take up to 28 months, starting in 2031. The project is estimated to bring GBP 18.7 million in payments to the community. |
