Description | South African renewable energy developer Mulilo has reached financial close on the 240-MWac/337-MWdc Middlepunt solar project in the Free State Province, the first project under Bid Window 7 of South Africa’s multi-year renewables programme to achieve this progress. The solar plant is expected to generate around 770 GWh of clean electricity annually, enough to power about 325,000 local homes. It will be connected to the grid through the Everest Main Transmission Substation (MTS) and has a 20-year power purchase agreement with the National Transmission Company of South Africa (NTCSA). |
