Midland Downtown Parking System Upgrade

planned

A strategic parking management study was conducted to optimize the use of existing parking resources in downtown Midland, support local businesses, and improve visitor experience. The study recommended introducing a paid-parking system on downtown streets and in the harbour lot, adding quick-stop and accessible parking spaces, and implementing modern payment technologies such as pay-by-plate machines and mobile app systems within five years. A pilot-testing period was also recommended to evaluate ease of use and reliability.
