Description | The Midlands Rail Hub scheme is a major railway improvement plan aimed at overhauling rail links through Birmingham and the wider Midlands. It includes the construction of two new Bordesley chords near Birmingham city centre, linking the Chiltern main line at Moor Street with the Camp Hill lines to the South West and East Midlands. The project aims to improve connections between Birmingham’s three main stations, allowing more trains, faster journeys, and new direct services across the region. Early works include bringing platform 4 at Snow Hill back into use and redeveloping Kings Norton station and tracks to enable additional services. |
