The facility will act as a large rechargeable battery for the state's electrical grid, providing a maximum discharge rate of 150 MW for about 4 hours. It is designed to support a more reliable, consistent, and affordable energy supply by storing energy when supply exceeds demand and delivering it back to the grid when needed. |
