Description | The MIHAN project is a composite development project by the Government of Maharashtra to develop aviation infrastructure and related industries near Nagpur Airport. As part of this, an IT Park was proposed in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) area with 500 acres designated for the purpose. Wipro was allotted 117 acres of land on lease basis for 99 years at a concessional rate, with an advance payment made. Due to lack of necessary infrastructure, Wipro requested to limit the allotment to 23 acres. MADC later terminated the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) and forfeited the advance payment, leading to a legal dispute where the Bombay High Court directed MADC to refund Rs. 10.29 crores to Wipro. |
