The Umbrella Project will allow the micro-beneficiaries an easy and direct access to the implementation of micro-projects which, in an innovative way, will extend the PL-SK cooperation and the development of the Polish-Slovak borderland, contributing to the protection and development of the natural and cultural heritage of the area. The Lead Partner (LP) together with Project Partners (PP) will implement the following activities: – preparing and updating implementation documents for micro-beneficiaries; – calls for micro-projects, their assessment and selection; – organising calls for micro-projects, trainings, assessments as well as concluding agreements on micro-projects with the LP; – ensuring the good implementation of Umbrella Projects, by, among other things, monitoring the UP’s implementation, preparing information on the progress of micro-projects, preparing monitoring visits, submission of partial payment claims, settlement of expenditure incurred in the framework of micro-projects and providing beneficiaries with refunds from the ERDF and state budget; – performing tasks related to communication and promotion of the project – among other things, promoting the UP and its results, implementation of activities as described in the Communication Strategy of the Programme, holding consultations for potential applicants and potential micro-beneficiaries, providing assistance in searching for partners, etc. Preferred will be micro-projects with an explicit cross-border effect and ideally match the objectives of the Programme guarantee the achievement of the result indicator of priority axis 1. The preservation and development of the cultural and natural heritage of the borderland, that is appreciation of the natural and cultural heritage of the borderland by the local population and tourists from outside the area. The achievement of the said indicator will also improve the situation of the borderland by enhancing its potential, developing the natural and cultural heritage as well as increasing the competitiveness of the area.
