Description
Description | The project involves renovation and rehabilitation of the aging MCRC infrastructure to extend the useful life of the facility by improving energy efficiencies, meet health codes and standards, and to resolve maintenance issues thus reducing operational and maintenance costs that will provide opportunities to offer additional rental hours and incorporate accessible sporting programs. The project scope includes replacement of old refrigeration plant equipment via installation of a new compressor, new evaporation condenser, new insulation lines, and a new dehumidifier, as well as beam painting / sealing of the roof above the ice pad and installation of new kitchen cabinets and counter tops in the recreation hall. The project will assist in the growth of a range of recreational, social services and programs, and further enhance the service functions of the recreational infrastructure of the Mildmay Carrick, Teeswater-Culross, Formosa, Belmore and surrounding settlement areas. The project will result in improved access to and increased quality of community, cultural and recreational infrastructure for Canadians, including Indigenous Peoples and vulnerable populations outcome under the Community, Culture and Recreation Infrastructure Stream. |
