Miles Street Tiny Home Village

planned

Alpha Court plans to establish a tiny home village consisting of 16 transitional housing units on a parking lot at 212 Miles St. East in Thunder Bay. The project is designed to be permanent with each unit equipped with a full bathroom, kitchen, and sleeping quarters, targeting chronically homeless individuals aged 18 and older. The project has been delayed to spring or summer of 2026 due to challenges in solidifying necessary contracts and is still in the process of procuring a builder. Funding of nearly $4 million has been received from the Ontario government's Homelessness Prevention Program to cover construction, acquisition, legal, design, engineering, site preparation, and project management costs.
